RULES FOR WORKING OUT UNIVERSITY GRADUATES WHO STUDIED UNDER A GRANT OR QUOTA

An informational meeting with the representative of the Education Department of East-Kazakhstan region Aliya Zhailaubayeva was held for the fourth year students.

The purpose – to explain the rights and obligations of graduates completing their studies under the state educational order and akim’s grant. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for SR&NR Irina Rovnyakova and specialists of marketing, career and employment center of EKU.

As it is known, Kazakhstani rural youth, who entered training in pedagogical, medical, veterinary and agricultural specialties, work grants in educational and health care organizations for at least three years after graduation. The period of working off is calculated from the day of conclusion of the labor contract with employers.

According to Aliya Zhailaubayeva, methodologist of the department for work with universities of the UO EKR, students can be exempted from the obligation to work. Exemption is granted by decision of the commission on personal distribution of young specialists. Possible reasons include: death of a graduate, disability of the first or second group, lack of vacancies in the locality where they live, enrollment in a master’s program, pregnancy and independent upbringing of a child under the age of three years.
