Full biography

In 2004 she graduated from S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University with a degree in "Computer Science," qualifying as a teacher of computer science (diploma with honors No. ZhB0066791). In 2004 she entered the master's program in "Computer Science" at EKSU named after S. Amanzholov and graduated in 2006 with an academic master's degree (diploma with honors MTB No. 0009053). From 2014 to 2017 she studied in the PhD doctoral program in specialty 6D070300 – Information Systems at D. Serikbayev EKSTU. On November 9, 2018, she successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) before the dissertation council at D. Serikbayev EKSTU, and by a decision of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 4, 2019 (Order No. 210), she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in specialty 6D070300 – Information Systems (ID No. 0002804).

Since 2021 she served as head of the Department of Computer Modeling and Information Technologies at S. Amanzholov VKU (rector's order No. 381-k dated 31.08.2021), and subsequently as Dean of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences at S. Amanzholov VKU (rector's order No. 536-k dated 18.11.2021).

Saltanat Sailarbekovna began her professional career at S. Amanzholov EKSU in 2006, working as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Computer Technologies.

From 2008 to 2011 she served as head of the Center for Technical and Service Support of Computer Equipment and Networks at S. Amanzholov EKSU. From 2011 to 2014 she worked as a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Computer Technologies at S. Amanzholov EKSU.

From 2014 to 2017 she served as head of the registration department at S. Amanzholov EKSU. From 2017 to 2021 she held the position of senior lecturer and associate professor at the Department of Computer Modeling and Information Technologies at S. Amanzholov VKU.

She currently serves as Dean of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences at NAO S. Amanzholov VKU. Over the course of her career she has authored 2 monographs and is the author of 5 textbooks and 3 instructional-methodological guides.

Today the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences is a major structural division of the university, employing highly qualified staff, including 11 Doctors of Sciences and Professors, 38 Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors, and 19 PhD holders.

The Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences comprises 6 departments: Physics and Technology; Computer Modeling and Information Technologies; Mathematics; Biology; Ecology and Geography; and Chemistry. The departments are located in three academic buildings, and the laboratories in four buildings. All 6 departments grant degrees.

Bachelor's degree programs in the pedagogical, natural-science, and technical fields are accredited. As of the 2023–2024 academic year, the Higher School trains specialists across 53 degree programs, including 29 Bachelor's, 16 Master's, and 8 Doctoral programs. Three-level education is offered in 8 programs, and two-level education in 16 programs of the Higher School.

The Higher School has a modern teaching, laboratory, and research infrastructure: computer and multimedia classrooms; a robotics room; a room for doctoral students of the Department of Physics and Technology; a training workshop for bakery and confectionery production; a training workshop for garment production technology; and an agrotechnology laboratory. A STEM Center was opened in Building 7 during the 2020–2021 academic year.

Every year the Higher School's faculty take part in the "Best University Faculty Member of Kazakhstan" competition.
