MEDIATION AS A MODERN TREND IN JURISPRUDENCE

A seminar dedicated to the 13th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Mediation” was held at the S. Amanzholov University. Its participants were lawyers – experts in the field of mediation, teachers of the university, students of the Department of Jurisprudence.

Marianna Dyachuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Director of the representative office of the Regional Public Organization “National Chamber of Mediators” in East Kazakhstan region, noted that mediation is a way to settle a dispute by involving a third neutral party. The purpose of mediation is to help each party to the conflict to resolve the dispute independently, to come to mutual satisfaction and mutual benefit.

– The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Mediation” adopted on January 28, 2011 gave us great opportunities in resolving conflicts in pre-trial and judicial order, – emphasized Marianna Dyachuk.

During the event, experts spoke about different areas of mediation. Students presented their creative programs and videos revealing the features and advantages of mediation principles and the application of mediation within the university.

– The seminar was very useful for me,” said Alyana Akhmetova, a 3rd year student. – I think that I will take many recommendations voiced by the experts and use them both in the educational process and in my future profession.

In conclusion, the students thanked the organizers, expressing the wish to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
