SUMMER UNIVERSITY FOR STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY IN URFU RF
In July, 10 EKU students will participate in the Summer University project at the Ural Federal University. During two weeks students from different parts of the world will be trained by the best professors of the university, work on their author’s projects and get acquainted with Ekaterinburg.
For more than 10 years S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University has an agreement with Ural Federal University, which includes exchange of students, staff and teachers, development and implementation of joint educational programs, organization of scientific meetings and symposiums, joint participation in international projects and publication of articles, reports and other scientific works of teachers, staff and students of each. The two universities have many points of contact. UrFU successfully develops the fields of economics and management, humanities, chemistry and technology, also has an inclusive education center since 2017.
So at a recent meeting of the vice-rectors of the two universities, Irina Rovnyakova projector for strategic development and international cooperation and Sergey Tushin vice-rector for international relations FBGOU VO “Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin. N. Yeltsin” updated the existing agreement and planned joint work with partner universities on the development of joint educational programs and research projects.
Within the framework of the forthcoming project students will listen to lectures by professors, participate in projects and most importantly get acquainted with their peers from different countries. More than 300 students from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia, Brazil, India, Vietnam, China, Colombia, Yemen, Egypt and Turkmenistan come to UrFU every year to participate in the Summer University.
It should be noted that the Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia, located in Ekaterinburg. It is a participant of the project on creation of world-class campuses – part of the national project “Science and Universities” implemented by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. The University is a participant of the Priority-2030 state program to support Russian universities, initiates the creation and performs the functions of the project office of the Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center of the world-class Advanced Production Technologies and Materials.
