INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “MATHEMATICAL MODELS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN ECOLOGY”
Amanzholov University hosted an international conference on “Mathematical models and information technology in ecology”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Academician Zhumagulov Bakytzhan Tursynovich Zhumagulov and 80th anniversary of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Shokin Yuri Ivanovich. The participants of the event were the executive director of the Association of Scientific and Technological Organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yernar Imangaliev, professor of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg Choymaa Dulamsuren, graduate student of the Department of Theoretical Cybernetics and Applied Mathematics of Altai State University Ivan Ryabov, as well as teachers and students of the university.
The program began with an exhibition of scientific and technological projects of the university scientists. Honorable guests of the alma mater got acquainted with the main achievements of scientific personnel under the musical accompaniment of the chamber orchestra. EKU scientists demonstrated innovative developments in agriculture, material science, digitalization, nature management and ecology.
During the international conference the rector of the university Mukhtar Tolegen honored Elena Barabanova, candidate of psychological sciences, with a medal for her contribution to the development of science. Diplomas of Honor from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education awarded candidate of pedagogical sciences Natalia Benesh, candidate of philological sciences Svetlana Fedosova, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Dosym Erbolatuly and PhD Zhazira Mukazhanova. Doctor PhD Akatan Kydirmollu was awarded with the letter of gratitude of East Kazakhstan regional maslikhat.
Also the jubilee medal of higher education institution marked the golden graduates of EKU: the teacher of school-lyceum №44 named after O. Bokey Kadrybek Demchinov, the teacher of Nazarbayev Intellectual School Rustem Tulubergenev and the teacher of secondary school named after Kaken Akhanov Erasysa Akhanov. Kaken Akhanov Yerasyl Mukhametkaliev.
It should be noted that during the plenary session with reports were made by Professor from Germany Choimaa Dulamsuren – “Calculations of the impact of climate change on the viability and productivity of southern boreal forests of Inner Asia”; representative of AltSU Ivan Ryabov – “Features of modification of the model of land use dynamics GLOBIOM” and Associate Professor of EKU named after S. Amanzholov Muratkan Madiyarov – “Application of machine learning methods to analyze and predict air pollution in cities of Kazakhstan”.
The large-scale event ended with a festive student concert in honor of the upcoming Teacher’s Day. Young talents of the university performed vocal numbers, Kazakh dance “Kara zhorga”, choral singing, choreography and poetry. At the end of the rich concert program the audience gave a standing ovation.
According to the executive director of the Association of Scientific and Technological Organizations of RK Yernar Imangaliev, the concert struck him to “goosebumps on the skin”.
