GRATITUDE DAY ROUNDTABLE

A round table for the Day of Gratitude was held at the Ust-Kamenogorsk University named after S. Amanzholov, organized by the specialists of the department of educational work and social issues.

The event began with the welcoming speech of Zhanneta Kalimoldina, vice-rector for educational and social work, and Serik Orazbayuly, chairman of the NGO “Council of Local Self-Government of Ust-Kamenogorsk”. Serik Orazbayuly.

– More than 130 nationalities live in our country. All of them have tolerant, peaceful and friendly relations with each other. For this reason today I have devoted my report to the theme of interethnic friendship. For me, this is a great reason for gratitude,” says Serik Orazbayuly.

Further, the participants of the round table made reports on the history of the holiday and cultural and moral influence on the population. Among the speakers were Gaini Koishinova, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Aydos Adilbekuly, Director of the Youth Resource Center of East Kazakhstan Oblast.

At the end of the event, activists of the student theater “Shabyt” pleased the guests of the university with a stage performance.
