AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF HUNGARY ARRIVES AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

A delegation of the Hungarian Embassy arrived to EKU named after S. Amanzholov. S. Amanzholov arrived delegation of the Embassy of Hungary on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi. The official delegation includes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Kazakhstan Rona Otto Ivan, Consul of the Embassy of Hungary in Kazakhstan Denge Aniko and the wife of Mr. Rona Otto Ivan – Rona Natalia.

-Amanzholov University is not the first year of cooperation with a number of higher educational institutions of Hungary. The first agreement was concluded back in 1998 with Szeged University of Science. I am confident that today’s exhibition will further strengthen the partnership,” said Mukhtar Tolegen, the first head of VCU.

Last year the whole world celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of the poet and national hero of the Hungarian people, Sándor Petőfi. He was one of the leaders of the revolution of 1848-1849 in Hungary, was a soldier of the Hungarian army and was fluent in German, French, English, showed his civic position through poetry.

During the exhibition, teachers and students recited poems of the famous poet in Hungarian, Kazakh and English in a solemn atmosphere.

Last year the university hosted an international scientific seminar “Kazakh-Hungarian Altai Studies: from ancient times to the present”. Then Hungarian scientists and historians of the alma mater made an expedition to historical places of East Kazakhstan. In addition, between the parties there is a program of academic mobility for students and teachers.

At the end of the event the guests of EKU were shown the research centers of the university. Diplomats noted the quality and modern material and technical equipment of the university, allowing dynamic development of domestic science.
