TALENTS OF THE EAST FESTIVAL HELD AT EKU
The participants of the next festival “Talents of the East” were students of colleges and 8-11 grades of secondary schools of EKR. They competed among themselves in vocal and instrumental skills. The competent jury highly appreciated vocal data and skillful mastery of musical instruments of all participants.
According to Senior Lecturer of the Higher School of Pedagogy Maira Dyusupova, this festival is held annually. This year it became the thirtieth, jubilee one.
– I am very happy to have become a participant in this great musical event,” said Nurai Zhenis, a contestant from Ulan District. – I play the dombra and participated in the instrumental performance contest. Here I got a great experience of performing on the big stage.
The winners of the competition were honored with diplomas and cash certificates from the university. Thus, the participants who took the third place received 30 thousand tenge, for the second place 35 thousand tenge, for the first place 45 thousand tenge and for the grand prize 55 thousand tenge. Maria Karpova and Mansur Kairat became the winners of the Grand Prix of the festival, who in addition was awarded an educational grant from the Chairman of the Board – Rector of EKU named after S. Amanzholov Muh. S. Amanzholov Mukhtar Tөlegen. Pupil 11 grade Mansur Kairat after graduation from high school will study for a specialty in music education at Amanzholov University.
– I came from the Altai region, I am very glad that my performance was so highly appreciated, – shared his impressions. – Thanks to the festival “Talents of the East” I got an opportunity to study at the university for free and do my favorite work.
Certificates of honor and gifts were also presented to all participants of the festival and their mentors.
