SUPPORTING YOUNG SCIENTISTS AT THEIR ALMA MATER
April 12 this year at a meeting of the National Council on Science and Technology President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to provide young Kazakh scientists with comprehensive support, because the development of science is one of the most important areas of public policy. In particular, he noted that it is necessary to increase the allocated grants.
According to the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, today for the development of science in the country laid about 640 billion tenge for the next three years. Also tools of social support of domestic scientists have been worked out: additional payments for academic degrees and academic positions, development of new housing programs. Thus, from December 1, 2023, a pilot project with Otbasy Bank has been launched. About 1000 young scientists can get housing under the preferential scheme.
It is worth noting that the management of EKU S. Amanzholov provides active support to young scientists of the university. For example, since the implementation of the program “Zhas galym” 10 researchers and developers of Amanzholov University were included in the list of queue of mortgage lending. Of these four this year have already become the happy owners of the keys to their own apartment. These are Nurtoleu Magazov, Meruert Maulet, Didar Seyitzhan and Asel Zhilkashinova, who, by the way, received housing in one of the residential complexes of Astana.

This is a great help and motivation for us,” Meruert Maulet shared her joy.
