NELSON MANDELA INTERNATIONAL RULES DAY

On July 18, the world celebrates the international Nelson Mandela Rules Day. They are aimed at protecting the rights of prisoners, ensuring their safety and providing access to necessary services, including medical care, education and vocational studying.

We remind that in 2023, more than 50 students of the educational programs “Jurisprudence” took an online course “Nelson Mandela Rules” on the platform of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

In addition, Kuat Rakhimberdin prepared a monograph on the topic: “The role of the implementation of the Nelson Mandela Rules in the mechanism of overcoming gaps and conflicts in the penal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
