RECTOR OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY AT THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR IN CHINA

The trend of introducing artificial intelligence into all spheres of the economy is actively spreading in the world. Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of ensuring wide application of AI technologies in education at all levels. The President noted that it is necessary to use the experience of Singapore for digital transformation.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek in order to implement the President’s policy in the field of digitalization initiated an international seminar on practical digital solutions for the transformation of universities based on the experience of the PRC. The Kazakhstan delegation, including the rector of Amanzholov University Mukhtar Tolegen, chaired by Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education Dinara Rinatovna Shcheglova arrived in the homeland of innovative technological solutions – Shenzhen, China. The rich program of the event includes visits to several important objects: Huawei Company, where a meeting with Vice President Tony Bao will be held, Huawei headquarters, Shenzhen University City, Datacom Laboratory, Industry Dialog Room, South Factory in Dongguan, etc. The event will be held in the city of Shenzhen.

It should be noted that the cooperation Amanzholov University with universities and enterprises of the People’s Republic of China is significantly expanding, especially in the last five years. The parties jointly implement a variety of projects within the framework of sustainable development goals of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries.

Amanzholov Univeristy has signed agreements with Qingdao University, Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, Yili Pedagogical University, Qing Hua University, Lanzhou Technical University, Xinjiang Forestry Research Institute, Jiangsu Pedagogical University and Central University of Nations. More than 70 Chinese students have studied at the university as part of the academic mobility program. In turn, the universities of China have trained more than 50 students of our university.

In addition, Amanzholov Univeristy is a partner of HAIER HAITECH. HAIER HAITECH for the last ten years is engaged in the production of equipment based on artificial intelligence for education, health care, mining industry, as well as realizes the projects “Smart City”, “Smart Home”, “Safe City”, “House on Wheels”. Amanzholov Univeristy signed an agreement with this PRC giant company on realization of “Smart library” and “AI Smart classroom” projects on the basis of the alma mater.

Today Kazakhstan-China cooperation is characterized by high dynamics, and Amanzholov Univeristy is an active participant in promoting SCO ideas in the East of Kazakhstan.
