EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY HOSTED THE XV REPUBLICAN SUBJECT OLYMPIAD IN THE DIRECTION OF “TRAINING OF SUBJECT NON-SPECIALISED TEACHERS”.

Amanzholov University hosted the XV Republican Subject Olympiad on the theme “Future successful teacher – the guarantee of the nation’ in the direction of ‘Training of subject non-specialised teachers”. The subject Olympiad organised at the republican level is of great importance for improving the quality of future personnel and their competitiveness.

The Republican Olympiad was attended by 17 teams from higher educational institutions training specialists in the pedagogical sphere. Each participant stood out with a creative idea in a new format. The Republican Subject Olympiad is aimed at increasing students’ interest in their future profession, identifying and supporting talented young people.

The knowledge contest consisted of the introductory stage”Teacher leads a student to success”, theoretical contest “Strength in knowledge”, as well as practical contests “Reading, analysing” and “Pedagogical symphony”. At the familiarisation stage, the higher education fellows noticed that they endeavour to engage children’s attention through artificial consciousness while conducting the sessions. In the ‘Power in Knowledge’ section, the participants competed in creating a visualisation in five minutes. The teams were clever and used simple objects to make visual aids that would interest the children. In the third stage, they were given the task of working with a reading literacy orientated text. The last fourth part showed the results of the video lesson that was given as homework.

-I thank the students who came from different parts of Kazakhstan. May the best win in this educational competition. However, the most important thing is our friendship. Co-operation of the educated generation is the future of the country. The status of a teacher is high in any society,’ said East Kazakhstan University Rector Mukhtar Tolegen.

Teachers of primary classes of general education schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk city acted as jury members. They noted that at each stage the teams paid great attention to the ability to reveal the importance of primary school teachers, culture of speech, creativity, resourcefulness, ability to work with non-standard texts and excellence in creative thinking.

Subject Olympiads play an important role in enhancing the intellectual potential of the nation. The future teachers participating in the educational competition showed that it is primary school teachers who lay the foundations of knowledge in the young leaders of the country and noted that in the era of information technologies the load on primary school teachers is not small at all.

-The Republican Subject Olympiad was very intense. Each team prepared thoroughly. We, too, approached this competition with a creative spirit. Our rivals are not weak either. S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organised the Republican Subject Olympiad at the highest level,’ said Ayaulym Mukhamedzhan, a student at Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
