COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SZEGED IN HUNGARY

The international scientific seminar “Kazakh-Hungarian Altaic Studies: from ancient times to the present” with the participation of Hungarian guests was held on the basis of EKU named after S. Amanzholov.

Head of the Department of Altaic Studies, Professor Shandor Papp and Professor of the Institute of Ethnography of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences David Szomfai Kara met with the rector of EKU Mukhtar Tolegen. The parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral scientific cooperation. In the near future foreign scientists plan to carry out active joint work with teachers and professors of EKU. In particular, to work on scientific research on the topics of Kazakh-Hungarian cultural and historical continuity, the history of the Kazakh Khanate, Turkology and Altai studies.

Besides, Mr. Shandor Papp noted that with pleasure will become the curator and the head of scientific works for some students and doctoral students.

– Our university is always ready for such cooperation. Our employees of SIC “Altaytanu”, historians and scientists have great scientific potential and experience to launch new projects and conduct large-scale research. Thus, S. Amanzholov EKU will continue to develop international relations in the field of education and science, – said the rector of the alma mater Mukhtar Tolegen.

It should be noted that within the framework of implementation of the program of internationalization of education S. Amanzholov EKU actively develops sustainable international relations with near and far abroad countries.
