“CHEMICAL KALEIDOSCOPE-XIV”

Amanzholov University hosted the XIV tournament “Chemical Kaleidoscope” for inquisitive and creative chemistry students. With welcoming words to the participants of the tournament addressed the Rector, Professor Tөlegen Mukhtar Әdilbekuly. The head of the university wished the guys success in the tournament and invited to study at East Kazakhstan University. Also with a welcoming speech was made by the Head of the center of marketing, career and employment Bolatova Zhannel Bolatovna. Students of educational programs “Chemistry and nanomaterials” and “Chemical forensic examination”, “Chemistry and biology” took active part in the organization and holding of the tournament. The tournament included such competitions as: “Introduction”, “Warm-up”, “Active Fan”, “Chemists-Lyricists”. The teams presented themselves intellectually and creatively, and in the competitions “Captains” and “Young Chemist” the children performed theoretical and practical tasks. The theme of this year’s tournament was “Redox reactions”. It is not an easy topic. Teachers of schools recommended to dedicate the tournament to this theme, so that schoolchildren could once again strengthen their knowledge and skills, to understand the misunderstood material. During the tournament interactive quizzes, Quiz, competitions on solving chemical rebuses, as well as a demonstration experiment were held. The tournament lasted two days and turned out to be dynamic and positive, participants and organizers received a good positive emotional charge. Schoolchildren were able to fulfill the experimental task of the tournament in the conditions of chemical laboratories of the University. The students liked very much the chemical flash mob and the contest “Burime”, “Shash Ooru”. In the nomination “Active fans” the team “Redox” from school-lyceum № 11 was not equal. And in the nomination “Chemists and lyricists” for the second year in a row has no equal team “Orion” from high school № 39. This year for the first time the nomination “Prize of Student Sympathies” was played. Our students favored the fans and members of the team “Almaz” from secondary school № 23. Both pupils and students liked the nomination. At the end the teachers were presented with letters of thanks on behalf of the rector of the university, the winners and participants were awarded diplomas, certificates of participation, valuable prizes and memorable souvenirs with the logo of WKU. According to the results of the first day of the tournament among students of schools with the Russian language of education, the winners were determined: – in the nomination “The Best Experimenter” – Kolesnikov Denis and Ivanov Danil (KSU “Secondary School № 15); – in the nomination “The Best Theorist” – Ilgov Egor (KSU “Secondary School № 39 named after Y.Altynsarin”). The third place prize was taken by the teams “Metallurgy” from school № 27 and “Neutronchiki” from secondary school № 23 named after M.Shayakhmetov. The second place was taken by the teams “Almaz” from secondary school № 15 and “Redox” from school-lyceum № 11. The winner was the team “Orion” from school № 39 named after Y.Altynsarin. According to the results of the first day of the tournament among students of schools with the Russian language of education, the winners were determined: – in the nomination “The Best Experimenter” – Kolesnikov Denis and Ivanov Danil (KSU “Secondary School № 15); – in the nomination “The Best Theorist” – Ilgov Egor (KSU “Secondary School № 39 named after Y.Altynsarin”). According to the results of the tournament, among students of schools with the state language of education, in the nomination “Best Practitioner” winners were: Zhanatuly Temirlan and Rakhmashev Ramil from secondary school № 23 named after M. Shayakhmetov, in the nomination “Best Theoretician” – Agzam Kayirym schoolboy Regional specialized boarding school-lyceum for gifted children. The third place prize was shared by the teams “Tusti metaldar” (final score – 42.5; KSU School № 46) and “Bar$” (final score – 49.5; School № 23 named after M. Shayakhmetov). The second place was taken by the teams “FeCaS” (final score – 54.6; KSU School №47) and “Smart” (final score – 56.1; KSU School №44 named after O. Bokey). The winner was the team “Zhalyn” (final score – 68; Regional specialized boarding school-lyceum-boarding school for gifted children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city).
