PHILOLOGISTS HELD A METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR

In East Kazakhstan University named after Sarsen Amanzholov in the framework of the cycle of methodological seminars for teachers held a practice-oriented methodological seminar on the theme: “Transcultural practices in language teaching in a non-national audience”. The event was organized jointly with the Department of Kazakh, Russian philology and journalism to share experience in teaching language disciplines.
The seminar was attended by university professors and teachers from city schools.

Speakers were pedagogical researchers of KSU “Secondary School № 27” Kabdyrakova Ainur and Ksembaeva Asel, who presented methodical methods of formation of reading literacy in the lessons of Russian language and literature.
Candidate of Ph.D. Mukusheva Raushangul told about the experience of teaching the Kazakh language to Hungarian students, the features of which are covered in the textbook published jointly with scientists of Szeged University.
Senor-lecturers of the Department of Kazakh, Russian philology and journalism Zhakupova Raushan, Toktubaeva Asel and Chirtzova Svetlana emphasized the formation of intercultural competence of university students. Prof. Alimkhan Aigul dwelled on the linguo-country studies meaning of toponymic data.

In addition, the seminar participants discussed the problems of forming basic competencies and methodological approaches to improve the quality of students’ knowledge.
