TRAINING OF UNIVERSITY TEACHERS IN SCALING INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

On the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University together with the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education within the framework of the project “Modernization of Secondary Education” started the first stage of training of teachers of pedagogical universities on scaling innovative educational programs developed under the project of the World Bank and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Strengthening the pedagogical potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

The event was attended by about 100 teachers from regional universities. The training will be held in online format from January 5 to 26, 2024.

Recall, recently, professors of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy Irina Matskevich and Svetlana Stelmakh have taken special coaching courses with consultants from Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd and Nazarbayev University. During the session Iryna Matskevich familiarized with the work plan and defined the objectives of the two-week online and offline training. Svetlana Stelmakh organized a discussion platform to discuss topical issues: what is the current state of teacher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and what changes are necessary for quality education.

During the two weeks teachers will be trained in modern trends, creation of favorable educational environment, student-centeredness, modern methods of assessment, information and digital technologies, active teaching methods.
