YOUNG BIOLOGIST” OLYMPIAD WAS HELD AMONG 11TH GRADE STUDENTS

The Department of Biology of the university held a large-scale Olympiad “Young Biologist” among 11th grade students. Future applicants competed for the main prize – a grant from the rector for four years of study for any educational program implemented at the Department of Biology.

During the Olympiad 75 participants from schools of the regional center and Shemanaikha, Tarbagai, Katon-Karagai, Samara districts, Glubokoe and Zaisan passed tests and performed practical tasks.

According to the results of the jury, the winner was Dmitry Sitenkov, a student of Predgornenskaya secondary school. The first place was won by a pupil of the 11th grade of KSU “School-Lyceum № 11” Alisa Temnaya, the second place – a student of the above school Aizere Kairoldinova. The third place was won by a student of KSU “Secondary School № 32” Kabden Әlzhan.

At the end of the event, Dean of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences Saltanat Adikanova presented letters of thanks to teachers of schools for quality preparation of students for the Olympiad.
