OLYMPIAD FOR FUTURE LAWYERS WAS HELD IN EKU

EKU hosted the regional Olympiad on law in the field of dispute and conflict resolution among 11th grade students of EKR schools. A total of five teams were represented.
The Olympiad consisted of two main rounds. The teams presented the developed scenarios of their educational, mediation activities in the form of classes, seminars, actions, extracurricular activities in the form of multimedia presentation. At the end, a strict jury of judges, professional mediators and university professors announced the three winners of the Olympiad.

Thus, the first place was taken by representatives of school № 22 of the regional center. The second place was taken by the team from secondary school of Altai city and the third place was taken by school № 9 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.
All winners and participants were marked with certificates and letters of thanks. The main prize was a grant to study in the Higher School of Law named after S. Amanzholov on specialty of jurisprudence. Aruzhan Kazhiakberova, an 11th grade student of school No. 22, became its winner.

– I think I discovered many of my abilities at this Olympiad,” she shared. – My goal was to win a grant. I am very glad that I justified the trust of my parents.

As noted the Chairman of the jury, judge of the regional court of East Kazakhstan region Angelika Volodkina, the regional Olympiad helps to identify among students gifted children who can continue their education at this university. S. Amanzholov University is a forge of personnel. We get very strong students from it, ready to work in law enforcement agencies, prosecutor’s office, judicial bodies. And the fact that the university pays great attention to school mediation is very right.

– It is a great honor for me to participate in this Olympiad, – said Ruslan Stankevich, a representative of Altai school. – I am sure it will have a great impact on my future, because I want to study here and become a good lawyer.

The event ended with a festive concert prepared by the creative teams of the university.
