EKU BECAME THE LEADER IN THE NATIONAL H-INDEX RANKING – 2024.

S Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University became the leader of the group of universities with high scientific potential in the National H-index Ranking – 2024.
National H-index Ranking evaluates scientific and research institutions based on their combined indicators in Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. According to the results, institutions are divided into three categories: leaders in scientific potential – 10% of the most influential scientific institutions in the country. High scientific potential – 30% of influential and ranked research institutions with high scientific potential. And the third category is simply participants in the ranking.
For example, if we compare last year’s positions in Scopus according to the Hirsch index, the university was on the 58th position, this year it moved up to 30th, in Web of Science it was on the 66th position, this year it took the 34th position. And in Google Scholar it moved up one position – from the 9th to the 8th.
These productive achievements are undoubtedly the merit of the scientific community of our university.
