THE KABANBAI BATYR MILITARY DEPARTMENT IS FIVE YEARS OLD
Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University celebrated the anniversary of the opening of the military department named after Kabanbai Batyr.
On May 11, 2019, the order of the former Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Nurlan Ermekbayev, was issued. Since that day, the military department has graduated more than 500 students who have completed the training programme for reserve officers and sergeants. Currently there are more than 260 students studying here.
At the solemn event, where members of the Board of Directors, faculty members and cadets were present, Rector Mukhtar Tolegen made a congratulatory speech.
-Our success was preceded by a lot of preparatory work on creation of material and technical base and invitation of teachers – real professionals. Thanks to hard work now our students can receive the officer rank for the first time in the history of the university in the native walls of the university, – the head stressed.
During the celebration the cadets performed military-patriotic songs, and the guests tasted traditional soldier’s porridge.
It should be noted that the military department has eight specialised classrooms, a lecture hall, a methodical room, a formation ground, a sports ground, a tactical field, an electronic and shooting range, a box for storing equipment. The classrooms are equipped with technical teaching aids, models, interactive whiteboards with video projectors and netbooks.
Training under the programme of reserve officers and sergeants is carried out on military specialties on the basis of higher education. After graduating from the military department, young people will receive a reserve officer’s identity card along with their graduation diploma. They can find employment in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, where educated, brave and responsible people are needed.
