PROFESSOR OF THE AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY HAS DEVELOPED A NEW METHOD FOR ASSESSING EARTHQUAKE RESISTANCE

Marhaba Karmenova, Associate Professor of Computer Modeling and Information Technology at Amanzholov University, has developed data analysis technologies and machine learning methods.

The assessment of the earthquake resistance of urban facilities involves cluster analysis based on the DBSCAN algorithm to identify dense earthquake sites.

The scientist then applies classification techniques to learn the structure of the data and refine the decision boundary in each cluster.

-My idea is based on data mining. The main advantage of such analysis is speed. After all, in some cases it is necessary to obtain data as quickly as possible,” the professor explained.

According to Marhaba Karmenova, in her work she uses the apparatus of systems management theory, methods of statistical analysis, artificial intelligence and information systems design technologies.

To date, the scientist has designed the architecture of an intelligent information-analytical system and its software implementation.
