RECTOR OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: “WE ARE 100% READY”

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek regularly emphasizes the importance of creating comfortable living conditions for students and the need to address the shortage of places in dormitories. In Amanzholov University the issue of Student Houses is one of the priorities.

-The dormitories and educational buildings of Amanzholov University are 100% ready. Every year we conduct a thorough monitoring before students move in and assess the conditions for their living conditions,” said the rector of the university Mukhtar Tolegen.

According to him, in the new academic year students will be welcomed with comfortable rooms, new linens, updated furniture and heating equipment. High-speed Wi-Fi is installed in each room.

-Today cast-iron radiators have been replaced with aluminum ones. The heating system, roof and shower cabins have been repaired. All dormitories are provided with ramps. In student houses No. 4 and No. 5 new windows and fences have been installed, which have not undergone changes for more than 45 years. This is only a small part of the work done, – noted the first head of the Amanzholov University.

The large-scale work on the university infrastructure did not end here. In September, physics, biology and chemistry laboratories with advanced equipment will open their doors. The “Shygys-BASTAU” Technopark, aimed at the development of startup projects and innovative entrepreneurial system, as well as the IT-Hub, which unites IT specialists for the development of digitalization in the region, will be functioning. The new space includes a media hall, “Idea Room”, “Lounge zone” and dialog zone.

In addition, the list of new facilities includes the Center for Sustainable Development, the multimedia studio for interactive video recording “EdSmart Premium” and Coworking with Smart Library.
