INTRODUCTION OF DIGITALIZATION IN EDUCATION DISCUSSED AT THE REGIONAL AUGUST MEETING

On the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University was held the regional August meeting of education workers, organized by the Education Department of East Kazakhstan Region. This year’s event was devoted to the actual topic of competent and effective use of digital technologies in the educational process. The meeting, held under the slogan “Digital Kazakhstan: Education in a new reality” included a plenary session with the participation of representatives of the regional akimat and the Education Department of East Kazakhstan region, social partners, as well as specialists of secondary and higher schools.

The discussion at the sections covered such topics as the use of educational platforms, digital resources to improve the quality of teaching and new methods of studying with the use of technology.

As the meeting continued, participants had the opportunity to learn about Eastern’s innovations through a large-scale exhibition. Innovative teachers and teaching scientists from the region presented their best developments. The inventors of their alma mater were not left out. Thus, associate professor of the Department of Physics and Technology Dosym Erbolatuly, head of the Center for Continuous and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala” Alima Alipova and senor-lecturer of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy Rauan Baichinov presented the defectologist’s table, desk-desk-book, author’s methodical aids, chair-verticalizer and bed-verticalizer. All these innovations were developed by skilled employees within the framework of the commercialization project “Competence Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Training and Methodological and Technological Support of Children with Special Educational Needs”.

As Mukhtar Tolegen, rector of the university, noted, the realization of the right trends in education is one of the important steps to the transformation of the younger generation. We should not forget that digitalization is a global phenomenon to which all should strive.
