FINANCIAL EDUCATION TRAINING

On the basis of Amanzholov University within the framework of implementation of the “Roadmap to expand the scope of the educational project ‘Debt-Free Society’ of the party ‘AMANAT’ a training on improving financial literacy among schoolchildren and students was held. The listeners were 28 teachers of universities of East Kazakhstan region and Abay region.

Recall, earlier Kasym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to scale the project “Debt-Free Society”, which aims to raise financial awareness among the population.

-Today our population is often tempted by loans and installments, so the state needs to take this situation under control. We decided to introduce financial literacy training from kindergartens, schools and universities,” explained Amanbai Nurkenov, Deputy Executive Secretary of the East Kazakhstan branch of the AMANAT party.

The speakers of the event were certified trainers Dinara Mamyrbekova and Aliya Ibrayeva. During the training the participants were explained the basic rules of careful approach to personal finances and told about the advantages of capitalization of interest.

Note that in 2023, the Agency for Regulation and Development of Financial Market conducted a survey of the main indicators of financial literacy of the population. The survey was conducted among age groups from 18 years to 63 years. Then the index of financial literacy of Kazakhstan citizens amounted to 40.5%.
