INNOVATIVE EQUIPMENT, WHICH HAS NO ANALOGUES, APPEARED AT THE UNIVERSITY

The “Dana Bala” Centre for Continuous and Inclusive Education acquired the latest tool in pedagogy, speech therapy and psychology – the “Smart Mirror”. The innovation is a monoblock with a built-in video camera and a highly sensitive microphone based on artificial intelligence.

Thanks to the modern equipment, children with speech development problems form the necessary skills in a playful way. In particular, the ability to describe, to express their opinions critically, to divide words into syllables, to distinguish between opposite and semantic words, and to learn concentration and diligence. As a result, all components of speech are developed.

According to the head of ‘Dana Bala’ Alima Alipova, it is the game approach to teaching children that is considered the most effective. ‘Smart Mirror’ offers 14 blocks containing thematic games. Among them: psychological diagnostics, articulation gymnastics, breathing gymnastics, finger gymnastics, sound pronunciation, sound analysis and synthesis, phonemic hearing, speech examination games, vocabulary, grammar, dysgraphia, tempo-rhythmic side of speech, methodical piggy bank and NeoMe.

-The child performs the proposed tasks under the supervision of a specialist for 30-60 minutes. All this time a built-in video camera records the baby to demonstrate the lesson to parents and analyse the dynamics of therapy. This is a powerful professional speech therapy tool, which has no analogues in the region, – said Alima Kabdulashimovna.

It should be noted that the equipment was purchased as part of the university’s project ‘Competence Centre for Psychological and Pedagogical Training and Methodological and Technological Support for Children with Special Educational Needs’.
