BORDERLESS ENGLISH 50+

Amanzholov University, as part of the “Silver University” project, launched a course of English language training at the basic level for city residents over fifty years old.

The main goal is to support social labour activity, mental and cognitive health of elderly people. The programme is also aimed at providing modern education for older people and expanding their social circle.

– Today, an English language course was launched as part of the “Silver University” project. Participants will be able to study English at the basic level for a month free of charge. It is noteworthy that there are many representatives of the education sector among them,’ said Bakytgul Isebayeva, director of the Resource Centre for Vocational Training and Professional Development.
The course includes conversational English classes, during which participants build a dialogue, practice mutual communication and perform various tasks.
– I have already taken dance courses under the Silver University project at East Kazakhstan University, which significantly improved my health and emotional state.

Now I decided to focus on language learning and enrolled in English language courses at the university. Such programmes help us develop our mental abilities and maintain our ability to work,’ shared course participant Nurzhan Rustemova.

Within the framework of the Silver University project, 15 people are registered to study the English language base.
