ZEINOLLA SAMASHEV PRESENTS VALUABLE ARTEFACTS TO EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY MUSEUM

Famous archeologist, doctor of historical sciences, professor Zeinolla Samashev handed over to the museum of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University historical artefacts discovered as a result of excavations in the historical and archeological complex Akbaur

It should be noted that East Kazakhstan University has been cooperating with archaeologist Zeinolla Samashev and the Museum of History and Local Lore since 2012.

-Since the university museum is of an informative nature and trains future teachers, this year we handed over several exhibits from the excavations in the Akbaur complex in Ulan district. I believe that if at least one student out of a thousand who visited the excavations becomes “sick” of archeology, feels the taste for this science and devotes his life to it, his mission will be fulfilled, – said Zeinolla Samashev.

The museum’s collection of exhibits includes stone hammers, hoes and ceramic discs.

According to Lyazzat Zhamanbayeva, head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, as a result of the partnership, university students actively participate in excavations at the archaeological complexes of Shilikty, Berel, Akbaur together with famous archaeologists.

During the event Zeinolla Samashev gave a lecture to the students of the educational programme “History” of the Higher School of Humanities on the theme: “Recent archaeological discoveries in the east of Kazakhstan: in the context of problems of history and culture”.

After the end of the first year we had an internship in one of the largest archaeological complexes Akbaur, where we discovered many historical artefacts. Such experience is important for us, as we master all the subtleties of our profession – both theoretically and practically, – shared the second-year student of the speciality “History” Rasul Rafgatovich.

Future historians listened to the scientist’s stories with great interest, and many of them expressed a desire to join the expeditions.
