A MEETING ON PREVENTION OF OFFENCES WAS HELD

In S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University students of the educational programme “Jurisprudence” met with the deputy head of the Police Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, police major Birzhan Bauyrzhanuly and inspector of the department of educational and personnel work of Irtysh police department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city Makhabbat Kasymzhanova.

During the meeting the students of the fourth year were explained inadmissibility of such kinds of offences among youth as drug addiction, Internet fraud and speculation. Prevention of offences among young people is now one of the main tasks of society. It was also stressed that behind an offence there is a great responsibility, which can have a negative impact not only on the offender himself, but also on his parents and career. The students were urged to avoid causes and conditions that induce unlawful actions.

– Violation of the principles laid down in the law for committing acts harmful to the society leads to great consequences. Drug abuse, speculation and internet fraud among the youth are being sensitised to avoid drug abuse, speculation and internet fraud. Students of East Kazakhstan University can come to the police department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city and pass industrial practice. We are always ready to share our knowledge,’ said Police Major Birzhan Bauyrzhanuly.

Mahabbat Kasymzhanova, inspector of the department of educational and personnel work, told in detail about employment opportunities for graduates of the Kabanbai Batyr military department of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.

– We strive to form academic loyalty of students. We organise various events that foster patriotism and awareness of responsibility to society. We closely co-operate with the police department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, – shared Gulmira Bayirkenova, professor of the department “Jurisprudence”.

According to her, the requirements for entering the profession of law are growing, and only educated young people with high scores are trained.

At the end of the meeting, students asked questions about how Birzhan Bauyrzhanuly’s career has influenced his profession and family. The representative of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Police Department urged the students to serve their country with dignity, emphasising that the work of police officers providing security requires high responsibility.
