TAMARA DUISENOVA MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EDUCATION SECTOR OF EKR
As part of a working trip to East Kazakhstan region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova got acquainted with the activities of the project office for the implementation of the program “Serpin” on the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. For 10 years of work of the program 1122 students received diplomas. According to the project office, the employment rate of graduates is 97%. Most of them have decided to stay in East Kazakhstan, finding jobs in local organizations or continuing their scientific activities.
At the meeting with students Tamara Duisenova noted that the program “Serpin” provides a unique opportunity to get higher education in demanded specialties and get a job in the region. The University has a Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana bala”, which actively implements the principles of inclusion in educational practice. Specialists of the center provide consulting and information support, as well as develop dual education. University students undergo internships at the center, where they acquire skills in working with children with special needs, which helps them enter the labor market with the necessary experience.
“If you start working with a child from an early age, it will help them to successfully adapt and integrate into society without requiring changes in the environment. Currently, we graduate fully socialized children, and the earlier this process begins, the more effective the results will be,” said Svetlana Stelmakh, professor of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy at East Kazakhstan University.
“Our main goal is to develop citizens as individuals, not limiting ourselves to education only. For this purpose it is necessary to create a consistent and interconnected system of education, covering all levels – from kindergarten to higher education. It is important that each educational area uses programs and methods that meet the highest standards, and that teachers constantly improve their qualifications. We must remember that a citizen with quality education is a guarantee of our future,” summarized Tamara Duisenova.
