TAMARA DUISENOVA VISITED SARSEN AMANZHOLOV EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY
Tamara Duisenova visited the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, on the basis of which the project office of the program operates. For 10 years of the program’s work 1122 students have studied here.
– Serpin is a great start. We study for free, live in dormitories, and get in-demand professions. I am now a lecturer at S. Amanzholov University. I am studying for a doctorate. I got housing on a favorable mortgage “Zhas galym” at only 5 percent per annum. I got married, my son has already been born. I intend to continue to stay in East Kazakhstan, – said the graduate of the program Didar Seytzhan.
“Serpin” really provides great opportunities for young people, but it is important to adapt the program to the needs of the region, said Tamara Duisenova.
– It is necessary to develop new approaches: to consider the terms of compulsory work, to develop programs to support graduates, to strengthen coordination between universities, enterprises and akimats. A critical step will be the attraction of graduates to the organizations of the region, where more than 3 thousand vacancies are already open today. Before inviting students from other regions, the authorities should clearly define with the employer, where the graduate will be employed, – said Deputy Prime Minister.
The program “Serpin” remains an important tool to equalize the regional imbalance in the labor market. But its success depends on the ability to provide young specialists not only jobs, but also prospects for long-term professional and personal growth. Therefore, perhaps, the project will soon undergo changes.
