STRONG COOPERATION: REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EKU IN I. RAZZAKOV KSTU

Delegation of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University headed by the Chairman of the Board-Rector Mukhtar Tolegen visited the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University at the invitation of Rector Chynybaev Mirlan Koichubekovich.

It should be noted that the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University is a leading technical educational institution located in Bishkek. In the QS WUR rating the university occupies 1201-1400 place, in the QS Asia University Rankings 2024 – 19 place. KSTU was also included in the top 20 universities in QS Asia University Rankings 2024: Central Asia – 351-400th place.

During the visit members of the Kazakh delegation were shown the laboratories of the departments of “Physics” and “Chemistry and Chemical Technologies”, where the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation. The excursion continued in the specialized institutes and departments of KSTU, including the Institute of Information Technologies, Technological Institute, departments of “Renewable Energy Sources” and “Machine Building Technology”.

In addition, representatives of both universities discussed strategic directions and partnership issues. In the course of the conversation Almira Zhilkashinova, leading employee of East Kazakhstan University, told about the experience of commercialization of scientific projects in Kazakhstan.

A significant event was the grand opening of the new co-working center, where the East Kazakhstan University delegation took part as guests of honor.

The visit ended with a tour of innovative laboratories and educational spaces of KSTU. Among them FabLab, Samsung LAB, DEFA laboratory, Student Service Center, Republican Competence Center and others.

The official visit resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement, joint work on the application to Erasmus for scientific projects, joint educational programs in physics, chemistry, ecology, economics, tourism, dual degree programs for training future engineers-technologists, creation of the International Engineering Center, organization of activities for participation and promotion of universities in international rating agencies, academic mobility of teaching staff and students, as well as cooperation in the field of sustainable development, as well as cooperation in the field of research and development.
