GENDER EQUALITY AND SUPPORT FOR WOMEN: MEETING STUDENTS WITH BAYAN TOIKEBAYEVA

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a meeting of students of educational programs “Management” and “Finance” with the General Director of LLP “Felix Astana”, Deputy Chairperson of the Alliance of Women’s Forces of Kazakhstan Bayan Toykebayeva.
The main topic of the meeting was issues related to social protection of women, gender equality and economic support for women’s entrepreneurship. The speaker touched upon key initiatives: the creation of the Agency for Women and Children’s Affairs, as well as measures to stimulate women’s entrepreneurship.

In addition, Bayan Toikebayeva noted the need to stimulate young people on the way to personal growth and career achievements.

As a member of the Board of Directors at Amanzholov University, I held a face-to-face meeting with students because I believe that the topic of supporting women and combating gender inequality is one of the most pressing issues in Kazakhstan today. It is important for me to motivate young people, to be a role model and to raise issues that are urgent for society,” said Bayan Toikebayeva.

The topic of the meeting aroused keen interest among the students. According to them, support for women in domestic business and gender equality requires the implementation of effective practical steps.
