EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY HOSTED AN OLYMPIAD IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND JOURNALISM

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a traditional Olympiad in Russian language, literature and journalism, organized as part of career guidance activities for applicants. Pupils from schools in the region took part in the Olympiad. The educational competition consisted of two rounds and one homework.

The first round was absentee – the participants were offered to write an essay on one of the given topics. The second round was held for those who showed the best results in the first round. The participants performed tasks in Russian language and literature, and also presented their journalism homework.

Following the results of the two rounds, the winners were determined in several nominations, divided by the categories of state and Russian language schools.
Shakarim Alisher, a pupil of lyceum №44 named after Oralkhan Bokey, took the first place in journalism among schools with state language of education. Asylbek Nurtileu from secondary school named after M. Lomonosov of Ulan district won in Russian language. In Russian literature, the first place was taken by Adema Kalikanova, a student of Lyceum No. 44 named after Oralkhan Bokey.

Among schools with Russian language of instruction in journalism, the first place was taken by Anna Klimoshenko from Lyceum No. 11. In Russian language Korkina Elizaveta from Nazarbayev Intellectual School of chemical and biological direction won the victory. In Russian literature the first place went to Toleugalieva Sabina from Menovnovskaya secondary school.

It should be noted that teachers were awarded with letters of thanks. The Olympiad became an important event for future entrants, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, as well as to choose a profession that will be related to their passions and abilities.
