UNIVERSITY SCIENCE – THE ENVIRONMENT OF ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE REGION
S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an international scientific-practical conference “Uvaliev Readings – 2024” dedicated to the honored figure of higher education Yumash Uvaliev. The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors, faculty, leading scientists and students. The participants noted Yumash Uvaliev’s great contribution to the development of the university, the region and the country.
-Yumash Karimovich devoted 24 years of his life to the development of our university. During his leadership of the university, many students were engaged in scientific research, opened laboratories to benefit the region. The students were offered the necessary comfortable conditions for quality education and leisure. Yumash Karimovich became a mentor for colleagues and students. He is a man of high morals, – shared his memories with Mukhtar Tolegen, Rector of East Kazakhstan University.
-The merits of Yumash Uvaliev in shaping the global strategy of the university are immeasurable. This scientific event is dedicated to the initiatives of not indifferent scientists. This conference has become a platform for knowledge sharing and open dialog. We are once again convinced that university science is a tool that contributes to economic growth,” said Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
During the conference scientific works of East Kazakhstan University scientists were presented. Many startup projects in the chemical, physical, agricultural and beekeeping industries are being developed at the alma mater. According to the rector of East Kazakhstan University, in this way the student youth engaged in author’s projects continue to develop the economy of East Kazakhstan University. Such young people find great support in the university. Thus, a student of the educational program “Forest resources, hunting and beekeeping” Alexey Gladyshev became the owner of a special scholarship named after Uvaliev for developments in the field of beekeeping. He is currently engaged in the production of unique types of honey products.
At the end of the event on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the teachers of the university were awarded a badge for the development of science, as well as a badge named after Akhmet Baitursynov.
