INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO LOCAL HISTORIAN-WRITER STANISLAV CHERNYKH

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an international scientific-practical conference “Local Lore Readings – 2024”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the local lore writer, archivist Stanislav Chernykh. The event was attended by vice-rector for educational and social work Kalimoldina Zhanneta, Doctor of Science, leading researcher of the Institute of History SB RAS Ablazhey Natalia (Novosibirsk, Russian Federation), trainee – researcher of the sector of the history of socio-economic development of the Institute of History SB RAS (Novosibirsk, Russian Federation) Kositsyn Maxim, staff “State Archive” of the Department of digitalization and archives of East Kazakhstan region, a member of the Committee on Cultural and Spiritual Accord at the Public Council of East Kazakhstan region, a member of the public literary association of the East Kazakhstan region.

In order to popularize Stanislav Chernykh’s contribution to the archival sphere of our region and to reveal the importance of his work, a large-scale event was held. We exchanged experience, discussed methods and techniques. I think storing information of historical and cultural value is important for our country,” said Samat Rakhmetov, Director of the Department of Digitalization and Archives of EKR.


During the conference, reports were read on the topics: “Documentary sources on the history of resettlement from the flood zone of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Bukhtarma HPP”, ‘Shygys Kazakhstan tarikhyn zertteudegi muragattardyn roli’, ‘History of East Kazakhstan in archival documents’, ‘Stanislav Evgenyevich Chernykh – local historian, archivist’, ”Tugan zherine degen suyispenshiligi erekshe edi … ”, ‘Akbauyr konysyndagy ezhelgі metallurgistterdіn sharuashylygy men turmysy’.

– Historians in the study of any topic rely on data from the archives. Today we told East Kazakhstan University students about the skill of working with the archive. In addition, I think the life of Stanislav Chernykh, who made an invaluable contribution to the study of Oriental history, served as a good example for young people, – said Zhanneta Kalimoldina.
