ACTUALIZATION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WAS DISCUSSED AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

A meeting of the project committee was held at the Department of Chemistry. In the course of the meeting were considered issues on updating the educational program of the department in order to comply with current regulations, professional standards and industry qualification frameworks. The meeting was attended by teachers of the department, as well as the director of school-gymnasium № 3 Gazizova K., director of school № 1 Sailaubek Adil., director of “Kazgidromet on EKR” Bolatkan L.S., the chief of laboratory of LLP “Central analytical laboratory Alex Lab” Zhelombaev T.I., the chief of chemical-analytical laboratory “VNIItsvetmet” Ermoshkina A.A., the director of East Kazakhstan branch “Kazstandart” Firsova E.B., masters and doctoral students of chair.

Head of the Department of Chemistry Shaihova B.K. acquainted the participants with the current educational programs and the main approaches to their actualization. Among the EPs: “IP Chemistry”, ‘Chemistry-Biology’, ‘Chemistry’, ‘Chemistry of nanomaterials’, ‘Chemical forensic examination’. As part of the EP actualization, a questionnaire for employers was developed, which takes into account the initial competencies required for training specialists in chemistry and related disciplines.

In addition, employers offered to send students to educational and industrial practices in the laboratories of the company “Central Analytical Laboratory Alex Lab”. In turn, managers of educational programs proposed to update the content for the new academic year, based on the proposals of employers and stakeholders.
