SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE 90TH ANNIVERSARY OF ALTAI AMANZHOLOV WAS HELD

In the S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a scientific and methodological seminar “Scientific life of Altai Amanzholov and current problems of Kazakh linguistics”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Altai Amanzholov. The event was organized by the Department of Kazakh, Russian philology and journalism and B. Mamrayev Scientific Library.

The large-scale international event dedicated to the linguist, Turkologist and ethnographer began at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and continued at other universities, including Istanbul University in Turkey. Today we have the honor of organizing the final scientific and methodological seminar,” said Aigul Alimkhan, associate professor of the Department of Kazakh, Russian Philology and Journalism.

Altay Amanzholov is a scientist who has trained four doctors of philological sciences and eighteen candidates. Today, his students serve honorably in different parts of the world. One of them – professor of Istanbul University Oraz Sapashev – made an author’s report on “Altay Amanzholov – scientist-researcher of petroglyphs of East Kazakhstan”.

-To the anniversary of our fellow countryman in Istanbul University also scientific and methodical events were held. The work of the founder of Kazakh linguistics is very much appreciated here, – noted Oraz Sapashev.

At the end of the event to the attention of students and faculty was presented an exhibition of works on the scientific heritage of the Kazakh scientist, his life and work.
