SEMINAR WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROJECT OF THE GOETHE INSTITUTE

Within the framework of the international project of Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan, a seminar was held for students of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”. The seminar was attended by students studying German language. The seminar was devoted to effective methods of memorizing foreign words. The event was held in the format of an interactive session, which allowed the participants not only to learn about modern approaches to vocabulary learning, but also to put into practice the acquired knowledge.

The moderator was Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Nuralinova G.M., who shared with the audience proven techniques for improving memory and learning new words in a foreign language. In addition, the seminar was attended by D.R. Saparova, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation, G.K. Kapysheva, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation, and A.L. Kozlova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation. The students learned about visualization and association methods, mnemotechnics, as well as techniques of active use of words in different contexts.

One of the key points of the event was the discussion of the role of regularity and motivation in the language learning process. The participants received practical recommendations on how to create personalized learning plans.

Recall that the international project, implemented by S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan, is aimed at improving the quality of German language teaching and expanding the opportunities for students to practically apply foreign languages in real life.
