The main topics of the meeting were topical issues of methodology and didactics of German as a foreign language, as well as discussion of prospects for mutual cooperation. Special attention was paid to popularization of German language in East Kazakhstan region.

Let’s remind, in 2024 Goethe-Institut in Kazakhstan celebrates its 30th anniversary. Within the framework of this anniversary on the basis of East Kazakhstan University completed a series of events organized thanks to the won grant for activities to popularize the German language.

– This project has great importance for our university. It demonstrates the development of international cooperation and the expansion of our ties. Mars Indigaraev, a teacher of German language of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, took part in this event. Thus, today another cooperation between the Kyrgyz university and our university was launched, – said the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation Dinara Saparova.

It should be noted that the past events were characterized by diversity and covered many areas. Students and teachers familiarized themselves with modern art, literature, as well as innovative methods of learning and teaching German. For example, not so long ago there was a scientific and practical seminar for German language teachers “Versteckte Grammatik”, a workshop “Wie kann man am besten Woerter behalten” and a master class in fine arts “Kreativitaet schenkt dir die ganze Welt”.
During these classes, the participants were shown modern tools to facilitate the language learning process. There was also a round table discussion on “The East in Goethe’s works”.

It is worth emphasizing the importance of the open lecture on one of the most relevant topics of modern education – the influence of artificial intelligence on learning foreign languages. The students were presented the latest scientific research of leading German scientists and teachers on the impact of artificial intelligence on language teaching in schools and universities.

At the end all participants were given certificates. This event was a bright result of fruitful work, strengthening the ties between universities and opening new perspectives for further cooperation and development of German language teaching in the region.
