THE PROCESS OF THE WINTER EXAMINATION SESSION WAS DISCUSSED AT EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY

From December 17 in S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University starts the winter examination session, which will last until December 28. On its eve, the university administration, deans of the Graduate Schools, heads of departments, representatives of the headquarters “Clean Session – Clean Hands” explain to students the course of the winter examination session. It is noteworthy that the first meeting with students of the Higher School of Pedagogy took place on the International Anti-Corruption Day. Thus, representatives of the compliance service of the university recommended students to show legal consciousness and active citizenship during the winter session.

– Today we emphasized the need for strict compliance with anti-corruption legislation, principles of academic honesty and ethical behavior. This issue is under the control of the university management,” said Kainar Zhexembayev, compliance officer of East Kazakhstan University.

In addition, first-year students were thoroughly explained the rules of exams and told about the course of educational work.

– The issue of examinations is a very important part of the educational process for both students and faculty. All exams will be held according to the approved schedule. All organizational and technical measures to ensure the conduct of the session have been completed. Now it is important for each student to take the exams with full responsibility and not to get low grades, – said Irina Rovnyakova, Deputy Chairman of the Board-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation.

Irina Rovnyakova also noted that GPA plays a key role in evaluating a student. Recall, GPA (Grade Point Average) is the average score in all subjects for a certain period of study. It evaluates academic, research, social and athletic achievements. This system is used in many countries to reflect academic performance.
