METHODS OF TEACHING TURKIC LANGUAGES WERE DISCUSSED AT AN INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR

An international seminar on “Alphabet and methods of teaching Turkic languages in the Turkic world” with the participation of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after O. Zhanibekov and Uludag University (Turkey).
The event was attended by faculty, doctoral students, master’s students and students of East Kazakhstan University.

The seminar covered two main issues: “Common Turkic alphabet” and “New technologies in teaching Turkic languages”. It should be reminded that on September 11 in Baku, a new version of the alphabet was presented at the third meeting of the Commission on the development of a common Turkic alphabet, organized by the International Turkic Academy and the Turkish Language Society. During the seminar, Kazakh and Turkish scientists shared their opinions and proposals on the project.

The reports were made by Professor Hatice ŞAHİN of Uludağ University on “Turkish writing reform and its impact on society”, Doctor of Philological Sciences Ebru Kuybu DURMAZ with the report “Alphabets used in Turkish writing”, Doctor of Philological Sciences Minara ALİYEVA ÇINAR with the topic “Work on a common Turkic alphabet in the modern Turkic world” and others.
