ANTI-DRUG CULTURE: AN INFORMATION MEETING WAS HELD

East Kazakhstan University hosted a meeting of prosecutors of Ust-Kamenogorsk city department of prosecutor’s office Almira Tuleukhanova and Azamat Suleimenov with students.

During the event the guests of the university paid special attention to the need for active involvement of society in the fight against drug addiction, the formation of “anti-drug culture” among the population, and the introduction of new methods of combating synthetic drugs.

The students were shown a documentary film “The Illusion of Freedom”, which contains real life stories of young people who became victims in the pursuit of easy money.

It should be noted that as a new mechanism to counteract the uncontrolled distribution of synthetics, the regional prosecutor’s office, together with local authorities and the Police Department, proposed the implementation of a pilot project “STOP Drugs!”, the essence of which is the use of a system of monetary incentives to citizens for confirmed facts of reported information about the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs.
