NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS FROM THE RECTOR OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Dear friends! Colleagues! Partners! Compatriots!
The year 2024 is coming to an end and I am proud to share the main achievements of Amanzholov University! This year has been a rich and successful for us in many directions – from science to international recognition.
Special attention in the outgoing year was paid to the Regional Project Office “Serpin”. For 10 years of the program implementation about 1500 students have successfully completed their studies and got employed. In addition, inclusive developments of East Kazakhstan University, aimed at supporting equal educational opportunities, were presented to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova, who highly appreciated them.
For the development of science and innovation on the basis of the university was opened technopark “Shygys Bastau”, which has become an important platform for the realization of scientific projects and startups. The opening took place with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek. On the same day, on the basis of the university, the Minister was presented to the inclusive school, which provides equal educational opportunities.
Our achievements did not go unnoticed at the international level. Amanzholov University has received a 4-star superiority mark in the international QS Stars Rating System, which emphasizes compliance with global educational standards. We were ranked 13th in the UI Green Metric World University global ranking and confidently consolidated on the 47th place in the international Webometrics ranking.
We are also proud of the opening of the Salvatore Quasimodo Italian Language and Culture Center, which has become a symbol of international cooperation with Italy. A key aspect of East Kazakhstan University’s expanding international partnerships this year has been active engagement with Korea, Poland, China, and other countries far and near abroad.
In addition, our students continue to glorify the university on a variety of levels. For example, East Kazakhstan University student Bagym Baltabaeva became “Miss Kazakhstan-2024”, which was a bright example of success for the youth of Amanzholov University.
This year was generous for our team to loud victories in the field of university science.
A team of East Kazakhstan University teachers received the copyright for a comprehensive method of preparing children for school.
East Kazakhstan University implements many projects aimed at solving global, topical problems. For example, projects on increasing the productivity of mining and metallurgical equipment parts, production of eco-soap by the method of our ancestors, speech development with the help of a speech therapy kit, development of a hydropost for flood prevention and many others. Thanks to our scientists, the list of innovative innovations can be studied and explored.
Researchers of SIC “Surface Engineering and Tribology” of Amanzholov University won grant funding under the program “Zhas ғalym”. Also our scientists won six projects for 630 million tenge in the competition of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for grant funding for scientific and scientific-technical projects for 2024-2026.
I believe that the next year will also be rich in reasons for pride and joy for the university and our numerous staff.
Let everything that has been achieved become an incentive for new achievements. And everything that the year will bring will be for the benefit of the university and its staff.
