EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT WON THE WORLD JIU-JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP

Shasha Eyubov, a professional athlete and first-year student of the Information Systems educational program, won gold in the ACBJ World open championship in jiu-jitsu. The annual international sporting event was held in Moscow and gathered hundreds of participants from all over the world.

-I am immensely proud of myself, because the hard, laborious preparation for this competition lasted several months. I am happy that I was able to represent my native Kazakhstan on the international arena,” the boy said.

Shasha has been practicing jiu-jitsu, a Japanese martial art of hand-to-hand combat, since he was a little boy.
Today, the young man is pursuing higher education at East Kazakhstan University, demonstrating successful results not only in sports, but also in academic life.
