DEPARTMENT OF MODELING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SDG AT THE UNIVERSITY

Poverty eradication has been identified as one of the primary goals of sustainable development. Today, 783 million people in the world live in extreme poverty. The staff of the Department of modeling and information technology contributes to the solution of this problem. In 2023-2024 academic year within the discipline “Organization of research work with students” students were familiarized with 17 goals of sustainable development. Modern IT – tools for solving global problems were also discussed. In the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year within the framework of the school of young teacher the associated professor of the department Zhantasova Zh.Z. presented materials on SDGs to young teachers, recommending to connect the content of the taught disciplines, to actualize research topics with the solution of global problems of mankind. On January 8 of the current year teachers of the department Zhantasova J.Z., Karmenova M.A. and Jaksalykova A.K. organized a seminar “Elements of STEM zhane CLIL in the design of academic disciplines”, where they drew the attention of teachers to the development goals. The department in the future planned a number of activities to expand the activity of faculty and students in this direction.
