STUDENTS OF THE SHEMONAIKHA DISTRICT WERE GIVEN A TOUR OF THE “DANA BALA” CIE

Elementary school students of Shakarim secondary general school No. 4 of Shemonaikha district visited the center of Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala”.

Schoolchildren got acquainted with effective author’s methods of work, which are used in numerous laboratories of the center. It is noteworthy that the excursion was conducted not only by experienced specialists of the center, but also by students of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy. By the way, they have a unique opportunity to work with children with special educational needs on the basis of “Dana Bala”, thus improving their professional competence.

For the young guests of the university, students of the educational program “Defectology” prepared a rich entertainment and developmental program of games in honor of the upcoming Cosmonautics Day.

– Today we presented our inclusive center to the children. They were given tasks, different didactic materials that develop children’s thinking. We also told them about methods to increase intellectual activity, to develop concentration of attention. We are glad that schoolchildren showed a keen interest and took an active part in all the tasks and games, – shared a student of Amanzholov University Daria Snegireva.

Pupils of Shakarim secondary school No. 4 experienced the modernized device – a training board. It is used to develop and train muscles, develop coordination and balance of children and adults. The device can also be used to strengthen the musculoskeletal system and stimulate sensory integration. The set includes removable supports for different exercises, removable inserts with mazes of different complexity, sensory kinesiology bags, cylindrical roller.

Thanks to the removable elements, more than 100 exercises are available in one simulator. The mechanism of fixing the rolling supports is lightweight. Anti-slip insoles with massage coating are provided.

– Currently, the topic of inclusive education is very relevant in the world. Socialization of children with special needs is a priority issue. Today we saw with our own eyes all the activities of the center and were convinced that East Kazakhstan University is a large-scale platform, globally and diversely developing the sphere of inclusion in the country, – said teacher Aliya Turpanova.

During the hours-long excursion schoolchildren got acquainted with the laboratories of sensory integration and correction, speech therapy room and other facilities of the center.

– I really liked the modern and equipped inclusion rooms, and the teachers themselves are very friendly and open,” said student Aisha Bibi Dusenay.

It should be noted that a branch of the Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala” will open in Shemonaikha district in the coming days.
