The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) announces the call for applications for biannual grants under the 2026-2027 Academic Program.

Three project categories, namely “Publication”, “Research”, “Seminars, conferences, trainings, etc.” can be proposed by researchers for evaluation by the Academic Council of IICAS. Each category implies a specially designed application form, which also includes a cost estimate.

Project application forms should be filled out through the web-site: grants.iicas.int (https://grants.iicas.int/)

There you can also find instructions, as well as evaluation criteria applied by the members of the Academic Council of IICAS. Results of evaluation are expected to be announced by the end of this year.

Application deadline: 07:00 PM (GMT), May 31, 2025.

Providing financial and advisory support in the implementation of research and applied projects, IICAS aims to attract the attention of a wider audience to the scientific and cultural problems of Central Asia, as well as to strengthen cooperation between regional and international researchers.
