WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY: STUDENTS INFORM THE PUBLIC

Students of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an action in honor of the World Autism Awareness Day.

This day was established by the resolution of the UN General Assembly on December 18, 2007. The main mission of the day is to raise public awareness of autism spectrum disorders and the importance of early diagnosis.

Students of the second year of EP “Ergopedagogy” and “Early Support Pedagogy” went to the streets of the city to inform the residents about ASD. The young people handed out information booklets, explaining the importance of developing an inclusive society.

-We are proud of our students who help make the world more understanding and friendly,” said Malika Bekbayeva, Head of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy.

Note, according to the Corporate Foundation “Bolashak”, more than 15 thousand children with ASD are registered in Kazakhstan at the beginning of 2024.
