AN ADAPTATION MEETING FOR FRESHMEN WAS HELD

In the Higher School of Pedagogy the traditional meeting with first-year students was held, dedicated to the issues of the educational process organization. Irina Rovnyakova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation, and Gulnara Kulenova, Dean of the Higher School of Pedagogy, addressed the enrollees with welcoming words. The meeting was also attended by faculty members, heads of departments and specialists of the Student Service Center “Parasat”.

The first-year students were told about the structure of the university, educational process, evaluation system and presented the material and technical base. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of attendance, academic honesty and internal regulations of the university.

The freshmen also learned about opportunities to participate in scientific and social activities, scholarship programs and other forms of student support.

-Today’s meeting is the first step for our freshmen. Years of intense study are ahead of them, and our task is to help them realize their potential and achieve their goals. I would like to wish our freshmen a successful start, – said Gulnara Kulenova.

The meeting ended with a question and answer session, where freshmen could ask questions and get detailed answers from the administration and teachers.

Such events are an important part of students’ adaptation process, contributing to their successful immersion in the learning environment and the formation of sustainable academic skills.
