STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION: EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY AND ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES

In the walls of the Salvatore Quasimodo Italian Cultural and Language Centre held a meeting of the Chairman of the Board-Rector, Professor M.A. Tolegen with Professor Guido Amoretti of the University of Genoa and permanent partner, Advisor to the Rector on internationalisation, Professor Alessandro Figus of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere with the participation of vice-rectors, deans of higher schools and students leaving for Italy in early October under the academic mobility programme.

They discussed the issues of further co-operation on the double degree EP of Master’s Degree “Sports Management”, “Global Economy” with the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, “Sustainable Tourism and Destination Management” with the University of Genoa. The rector also outlined the necessity to carry out preparatory work for the creation of a branch of a foreign university on the basis of the university from 2025.

After the meeting, the guests from Italy held a lecture for the students participating in the academic exchange, told about the peculiarities of Italian culture, health care system, social security, explained them the living conditions in the hostels of the city of Genoa.

It should be noted that this year eight students of 2-3 courses of EP “Foreign language: two foreign languages”, “Finance”, “Law” will be trained from 01.10.24 to 15.02.2025 at the University of Genoa, within the framework of the concluded agreements on mutual cooperation.
